Explore ACER’s comprehensive directory of student wellbeing programs designed to assist educators in selecting the most appropriate resources for promoting social, psychological and personal health in their learning community.
To address the need for a centralised and comprehensive national listing of quality school-based wellbeing programs in Australia, ACER is working with health and education authorities, starting with the Tasmanian Department of Health.
As Australia’s leading independent educational research organisation, ACER is ideally positioned to deliver and maintain a comprehensive national directory to the benefit of all learning communities across Australia.
Our aim is to maintain a comprehensive list of quality school wellbeing programs used in Australia. We use broad definitions for ‘program’ and ‘wellbeing’ to ensure that we‘re capturing all relevant products and services. This includes programs that address suicide prevention, drug and alcohol use disorders, and other challenges to social, psychological and physical wellbeing.
The Guide provides general information about each program, including contact details, availability by state and territory, program focus, cost (if any), evidence base and more.
The Australian Council for Educational Research Ltd (ACER) provides this Guide as a resource for individuals and organisations seeking information about wellbeing programs. A listing in the Guide does not imply an endorsement, validation, recommendation, or advertisement of any of the programs listed by ACER.
ACER does not guarantee the effectiveness, suitability, or outcomes of any program listed in the Guide. Users of the Guide are encouraged to seek appropriate health or other professional advice, conduct their own assessments and undertake due diligence before selecting and implementing any program.
The inclusion of a program in the Guide is based on information provided by the program providers and does not constitute a warranty or representation by ACER regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of such information. ACER reserves the right to remove or update program listings at its discretion.
By using this Guide, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this disclaimer and the ACER Online Terms of Use.
We encourage you to contact program providers to ask about the suitability of a program for your community’s specific needs and circumstances. As part of due diligence, it is your responsibility to ensure that a selected program complies with all applicable laws, regulations and policies, and to seek advice from your education authority where necessary.
