Aims & approach

Centered around the tragic story of Pat Cronin, the presentations deliver a compelling message about the impacts of violence and the importance of choosing to Be Wise.

The Be Wise Presentation is designed for students from Years 7-12. The content is tailored to suit the developmental stage of each age group and aligned with health and wellbeing curriculum priorities, focusing on long-term behaviour change and positive peer influence.

The aims of the presentation are:

  • To educate young people about the dangers and consequences of social violence, including the coward punch.
  • To empower students to make safe, respectful, and wise decisions in challenging situations.
  • To promote respectfuly relationships, empathy and non-violent conflict resolution.
  • Inspire long term cultural change around violence and conflict.

Delivered by trained facilitators from the Pat Cronin Foundation, the compelling presentations incorporate storytelling, video content, and discussion. The format of the presentation is adaptable to different classrooms, year-level groups, or whole-school assemblies.
