Aims & approach

BEAM was created with and specifically for high school teachers who move into leadership roles (year-level coordinators, head of wellbeing, director of pastoral care) but perhaps lack the confidence or know-how to support students and their mental health concerns. The self-directed mental health training program has 5 educational modules designed to empower teachers with knowledge and confidence, all completed across just one term.

  • Implementation training webinars or modules
  • Ongoing helpdesk, email or phone support

Evidence

The positive impact of the program is backed by evidence from a randomised control trial, which found that BEAM leads to significant improvements in educators' confidence, mental health literacy, perceived mental health awareness, and knowledge. More detailed information can be found here.
