Stronger Brains aims to help all students, empowering them to understand why they act the way they do. The program builds resilience, strong mental health, improved decision-making, and increased brain capacity, setting them up to learn and gain confidence in driving successful outcomes in life.
An initial cognitive assessment guides each student's adaptive program consisting of brain training, brain health education lessons and social and emotional wellbeing exercises. The brain health assessment is undertaken through online cognitive exercises, providing a 'real time' measurement of cognitive strengths and deficits.
Engagement in the program itself involves activities to learn brain facts, brain calming, and strategies for wellbeing, followed by online brain training. As the brain strengthens and increases in capacity, the time spent brain training will increase.
Scientific evidence shows that 30 hours of braining training creates permanent change (through neuroplasticity) in the brain. This is measured in a brain health assessment at the end of the program to review and analyse de-identified individual progress.
Program delivery:
Stronger Brains is based on sound evidence with over 150 peer-reviewed, scientifically-validated research studies improving attention, brain speed, memory, people skills, and executive function.
The impact of Stronger Brains programs is supported by positive outcomes found in internal evaluations, as well as feedback from educators and parents about students' experiences with the programs. Further evidence here.
