The program focuses on early intervention and prevention in primary school classrooms for children aged 6 to 13 years.
It includes six lessons covering mental health topics, each with an editable PowerPoint for teachers.
A digital platform supports lesson delivery, featuring practical activities to develop listening, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Short animations encourage discussion, and teachers have access to eight information sheets on topics like trauma-informed teaching.
The Program is based on Systems theory and incoroporates major aspects of SEL in all lessons. It has been evaluated in SA schools with feedback provided by teachers and students. The program is effective in improving student mental health and wellbeing, helping students recognise their emotions and feelings, reducing anxiety and lowering the rate of bullying.
