Aims & approach

CATCH My Breath is aimed at students aged 10-18. It is a skills based program designed to fully engage students while fostering both increased knowledge about vaping and the necessary refusal skills to empower students to make healthy decisions. The online program consists of 4 core lessons, delivered by educators in 30-40 minute sessions once a week for 4 weeks. There are additional supplemental materials that can also be accessed as desired.

CATCH Global Foundation offers teacher and health educator implementation training that helps ensure facilitators are effective in the vape education program delivery.

Evidence

Recent evaluations of the CATCH My Breath program demonstrate consistent effectiveness in preventing youth vaping. Studies show reductions in vaping initiation and susceptibility among middle and high school students, alongside improved knowledge of e-cigarette risks and more positive attitudes toward prevention.
