CBITS aims to reduce symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety, and improve social and academic functioning.
Children complete screening and validation interview prior to beginning CBITS. Caregivers are not interviewed or assessed.
The program consists of 10 group sessions, approximately an hour in length and usually conducted once per week in a school setting during a typical class period.
CBITS involves six to eight children per group, and is intended for ages 10-18, or middle and high school students
Live , in-person training available upon request.
CBITS is informed by cognitive behavioral therapeutic techniques.
