Aims & approach

The program targets children (aged 3 to 7 or 7 to 14) who are exhibiting problem behaviours. Children who engage in impulsive, aggressive, or bullying behaviour, those who are withdrawn, anxious or depressed, and/or those who have problematic peer relationships will find the Confident Kids program helpful.

Confident Kids focuses on developing children's social skills and reducing their problematic behaviour (especially if antisocial).

Educators are trained to deliver the program by attending a one-day in-person workshop.

The program is designed to be run in preschool, primary or lower secondary schools (Different manuals for the respective age groups). A group of 6 - 10 children meet weekly for 10 consecutive weeks for a 1.5 hour group. The program can also include meetings for parents/carers and meetings for teachers.
