Aims & approach

Consent Labs provides Consent and Respectful Relationship workshops aligned to curriculum for Years 7-12, as well as upskilling for educators and parents/carers.

The focus of Consent Labs is prevention through education. Through delivering evidence-based, youth-led consent and respectful relationships education, we empower young people and their communities to actively change the culture around sexual violence.

Programs are designed as part of a sequential curriculum, with individual sessions lasting 60-90 minutes, for delivery in either small workshop groups or large lecture-style format. All school programs are bespoke, meaning we tailor content to suit each school's unique context.

Implementation support

  • Access to professional facilitator, instructor or mentor

Evidence

The development of the Consent Labs program was based on an extensive review of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) frameworks, best practice principles, and research on effective consent education. Further details can be found here.
