Aims & approach

The Greatfulness program has been designed to proactively develop a students' social, emotional and positive relationship skills.

The program can be delivered as 6 x 1 hour live online sessions or it can be completed independently by the students through an online portal. The lessons align with the two PDHPE curriculum domains of self-management and interpersonal skills.

Additional resources and 'teaching tips' are available to carry out group activities in the classroom and extend the learning. The six lessons have been designed around 10 core skills which include:

  • strengthening personal identity
  • self-awareness
  • emotion and stress management
  • decision making and problem solving
  • help-seeking
  • communication (including understanding consent)
  • collaboration, inclusion and relationship building
  • empathy building
  • leadership and advocacy
  • social awareness (including differences and diversity)

All lessons are interactive and engaging and supported by a Student Workbook. The program is flexible in delivery and can therefore be delivered in classrooms all over Australia and in a way that suits individual classroom requirements. Being an online program, there are no limits to participant numbers.

In-person face-to-face classroom sessions are available in Sydney, NSW and Wollongong, and Central Coast.
