Aims & approach

Developed with Monash University experts, the KIND SCHOOLS Program offers a comprehensive suite of resources designed to foster a positive, inclusive school environment to promote social connection and support student wellbeing.

Schools receive

  • 27 premium kindness lessons (also see free Kind Classrooms lessons)
  • a one-year subscription to the Kind Schools Survey
  • access to exclusive resources like the Create a Kind Future student project and teacher guide, the Kindness Model, and the Nine Kindness Qualities
  • templates for a Kindness Pledge and Kindness Policy, as well as two copies of the No Bullying Manual by Professor Ken Rigby and Dr. Andrew Wicking
  • visual materials (a large Choose Kindness posters, stickers, postcards)
  • a Certificate of Membership to signify their commitment to building a kind, connected school climate

Evidence

The resources are informed by Social-Emotional Learning, Compassionate Mind Theory, and Hope Theory. The quality of the resources in the school practice setting is supported by ongoing evaluation conducted by university researchers.
