Aims & approach

The program aims to provide young females from Years 3-12 with the knowledge and confidence to support better health and wellbeing outcomes.

The program involves working directly with students, as well as providing resources for educators to follow up on the learnings. Parents and the community around the young female are also involved.

  • Supporting students in Primary School
    Years 3-6: 4-hour face-to-face workshops with follow-up resources for both students and educators.
  • Supporting students in Secondary School
    Years 7-10: full day face-to-face workshops with student journals and follow-up resources for both educators and students.
    Years 11 and 12: 2-hour face-to-face workshop with resources provided to students.
  • Supporting students in School Sport
    1.5 hour workshops for 10-14 and 15-18 year old female athletes. Workshops can be delivered face-to-face and online with resources provided to athletes.
  • Supporting students in Boarding
    Small group mentoring via their wellbeing hub membership.
    8 week online mentoring program supports health and wellbeing and strengthens connections of girls in boarding houses.
    Included are health professional masterclasses, downloadable resources, inspiring women's health stories and 8 weeks of guided online mentoring through our 6 modules.
  • Supporting staff wellbeing
    1.5-hour face-to-face workshop with resources provided to participants.

Evidence

The program is designed around the bio-psychosocial approach to health and Maslow's Hierachy of Needs. All content has been put together by a team of health professionals and is evidence-based, with consultation from doctors, sleep specialists, body image experts and a team of educators.
