Aims & approach

Mindfields High School is delivered in 8 one-hour modules, fitting into a school term. The topics covered include values, goal-setting, life-mapping, emotion vocabulary, cognitive restructuring, coping skills, social problem-solving, social connectedness and looking outward.

Each module has 3 core elements: relaxation and mindfulness, self-regulatory life skill training, and working toward a collaborative group goal. Each module can build on the next, or they can be delivered as standalone modules.

There are two streams:

  • Mindfields Junior supports Year 7-8 students to develop strong social and emotional skills, using a strength-based approach to help improve students' social and emotional wellbeing as well as their learning outcomes.
  • Mindfields Senior (coming soon) supports young people in Year 10-12 to find and build on their strengths, to develop the skills needed for social and emotional wellbeing, and promote strategies for a positive and meaningful life.

The program can be facilitated by a trained educator or school-based wellbeing personnel.

Costs vary depending on paper-based or digital access to resources, and the volume needed.
