The program helps empower kids to take more responsibility for their own relationships, build resilience and gain life skills they can take from childhood into adulthood. There are seven different online courses mapped for different student ages.
PeaceWiseKids: Courses 1-4, are for primary students. Each course teaching the same biblical skills and principles using age-appropriate language and examples.
PeaceWiseYouth: Courses 5-7, are for high school students, with the same teaching goals.
Each course typically has 15 lessons (which can be delivered from anywhere between two to four terms). Lessons are a full normal lesson length, and are delivered by the classroom teacher.
Each lesson begins with the stimulus video, followed by whole of class interaction and ending with individual student-based learning, using either a workbook or online activities (choices vary depending on age of the students).
For the online option (available for Years 3-10), students must have their own email address and each student must have access to a device with internet access.
Full lesson plans, learning outcomes, mapping to Australian curriculum outcomes, videos and curriculum support documents are provided.
Access is on a per user basis for an annual licence fee.
Program is based on the theory of biblical peacemaking as a transformative solution. Study results demonstrate the program's positive impact by building a strong relational culture that reflects the heart of God.
