Aims & approach

Positive Living Skills offers 216 individually resourced and curriculum-mapped learning experiences. It covers 12 concepts to support students, their educators and their families.

The whole of school program introduces a comprehensive pool of scripted yet flexible learning experiences with matching resources, organised within 12 concepts: feelings, focus, relaxation, cooperation and self-esteem, for reception to Year 6, and appreciation, communication, choice, solutions, self-leadership, goal-setting and potential for Years 3 to 6.

Evidence

The Positive Living Skills wellbeing program is based on CASEL's Theoretical Framework, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, distributed practice, growth mindset, locus of control theory and CBT. Evaluations report teachers' and children's positive experiences with the program.
