Aims & approach

The WACSS Protective Behaviours program is underpinned by two core themes:

  1. We all have the right to be safe and feel safe at all times.
  2. We can talk with someone about anything, no matter what it is.

The program aims for a whole-of-community approach, providing educator and parent/carer workshops, professional development and agency referrals alongside school programs.

Staff workshops are available face-to-face and online, delivered by accredited facilitators, offering participants the background knowledge and skills to teach Protective Behaviours to children. Travel charges apply outside the Perth metropolitan area.

WA Child Safety Services is an expert in the sector and a selected provider for Department of Education across Western Australia.
