Aims & approach

The Protective Behaviours and Body Safety program helps participants understand the prevalence, nature and impact of child sexual abuse, while providing practical skills and strategies to reduce risk factors and strengthen protective factors.

Topics covered in the program include overviews of child abuse in Australia, grooming behaviours, being safe and feeling safe, and many more.

The program provides whole-of-community and whole-of-school education with tailored, flexible delivery options and ongoing support. Services are available both face-to-face and online. Workshops are evidence-based, translating current research into easy-to-understand information. They are enriched with practical examples, strategies, conversation starters and resources to support learning.

Evidence

eSafeKids is an expert in the sector and was selected by the WA Department of Education to provide professional development to strengthen consent in the WA curriculum. Additionally, eSafeKids supports the Western Australian Respectful Relationships Teaching Support Program.
