Aims and objectives
Real Schools implements Restorative Practices as its underpinning methodology, which research has found to be linked to positive student wellbeing outcomes.
Evidence from systematic reviews of the Real Schools program demonstrate that it is effective in embedding Restorative Practices in partner schools. Specific evaluations conducted in an educational context with partner schools demonstrate numerous positive impacts on student mental health and wellbeing, which school leaders attribute to Real Schools partnerships.
The impact of the program is further supported by its various strengths identified by parents/carers and staff members, alongside partner principals' responses to the Student Wellbeing Survey 2024. A pre- and post-intervention study with partner schools also found improvements across various aspects of student behaviour.
