Aims & approach

The Resilience Survey is an annual online wellbeing tool for students in Years 3-12. Designed to be efficient and accessible, the survey is completed online within 30 minutes under teacher supervision, using age-appropriate language.

The Resilience Survey provides a comprehensive assessment of student wellbeing by measuring six internationally recognised indicators of mental health (life satisfaction, hope, anxiety, depression, coping, connection to nature) as well as nine key domains of resilience.

Developed with experts from the University of South Australia, The Resilience Survey is trusted by school leaders for its comprehensive insights into factors impacting student wellbeing.

Schools access the data through a secure reporting portal, which presents interactive, easily interpretable results by gender and year level. This allows schools to compare their students' resilience levels with national benchmarks and track progress year on year.

Evidence

The Resilience Survey provides schools with a data-driven approach to understanding and enhancing student wellbeing. Grounded in Positive Youth Development and Hope Theory, the Resilience Survey assesses key areas of social, emotional, and psychological health.

The survey helps schools identify strengths and challenges, enabling targeted, evidence-based interventions to foster resilience. Used by over 1,300 Australian schools each year, it offers a comprehensive tool to support positive wellbeing strategies in the school context.
