Aims & approach

The Study Skills Handbook includes extensive resources to enhance learning effectiveness for young people in Years 7-12. The approach taps into students' affinity for technology to create an effective way to improve their study skills. Developing important life skills, self-regulation and engagment, supports student mental health and learning outcomes.

There are currently 40+ interactive study skills units of work on the site. The systematic program for students to work through includes:

  • online quizzes, summary sheets, worksheets,
  • lots of FAQs answered, articles and links,
  • online polls, facility to submit questions,
  • helpful grids and planners,
  • jokes and quotes, student thoughts,
  • images and photos,
  • students can submit ideas to win competitions,
  • audio and video files, streaming audio (to allow students the option to read or listen to the content) and much more.

Schools subscribe to the website to provide access for students, parents, and teachers.and no setup is needed, just internet access and a login.
