Aims & approach

The modules focus on fostering self-awareness, emotional regulation, respect, and resilience, equipping students with the skills to build healthy relationships, understand puberty, and develop a strong sense of self-worth.

  • Safe Kids Safe Bodies (Foundation-Year 2, 60 min) - Teaches body rights, consent, early warning signs, anatomical names for private parts, and trusted adults.
  • Body Safety (Year 3-4, 60 min) - Focuses on protective behaviours, consent, safe and unsafe physical responses, trusted adults, and differentiating between public/private and safe/unsafe situations.
  • Body Safety Body Changes (Year 4, 75 min) - Covers puberty, safe and unsafe physical responses, consent, trusted adults, and distinguishing between public/private and safe/unsafe interactions.
  • Discovering Identity (Year 5-6, 90 min) - Explores identity, diversity, belonging, discrimination, gender, attraction, and stereotypes.
  • Evolving Friendships (Year 5-6, 75 min) - Develops relationship skills through emotional regulation, empathy, coping strategies, assertive communication, and active listening.
  • Journey of Human Reproduction (Year 6-7, 60 min) - Covers human reproduction, conception, foetal development, birth, and social, emotional, and legal considerations of intercourse.
  • Navigating Relationships (Year 6, 90 min) - Identifies characteristics of healthy/unhealthy relationships, personal rights, consent, boundaries, and dealing with unhealthy behaviours.
  • Thriving in Puberty (Year 6-7, 90-120 min) - Explains puberty changes, reproductive systems, coping strategies, consent, and protective behaviours.
  • Welcome to Puberty (Year 5-6, 90 min) - Covers physical, social, and emotional puberty changes, coping strategies, consent, and protective behaviours.
  • Who Am I (Year 5-6, 90 min) - Encourages self-worth, positive self-talk, identity exploration, and strategies to resist harmful social media messages.
