Aims & approach

Team Courage is a whole school anxiety, resilience and social emotional wellbeing package for primary schools (K–6), developed by Child Psychiatrist Dr Kaylene Henderson in consultation with educational leaders, teachers and students. It provides differentiated “click and play” curriculum mapped lesson plans, classroom videos, learning activities and whole school practices that explicitly build emotional literacy, improve capacity to understand and manage anxiety, promote resilience, better emotional regulation, healthy help seeking, growth mindset and positive self talk, address perfectionism, support peers and strengthen belonging, without adding to teacher workload or requiring extra staffing.

Alongside student lessons, Team Courage includes flexible video-based professional learning, newsletter content and shared webinars to foster a collaborative, strengths based approach across school and home, with free Courage Coaching course registrations offering immediate, specialist led online support for families needing further help. Team Courage has already been accepted onto the South Australia Department for Education’s External Wellbeing Directory and is now available to schools nationally and beyond.
