The PEACE Pack is a curriculum-focused anti-bullying intervention program with effective strategies to reduce bullying in schools.
The PEACE Pack resource provides 8 lesson plans on the topic of bullying and wellbeing, teacher information sheets, and an outline of a workshop format for staff meetings, seminars or a professional development day.
The program is a stand-alone resource that can be implemented by a school or organisation, designed for school administrators, counsellors, teachers, parents/carers, students and all those who wish to find a stronger voice in speaking out against bullying.
Monitoring program outcomes is supported by student and teacher surveys:
Ongoing research in schools has contributed significantly to the latest fourth edition.
Professional development can be provided by the Program Director, on request.
The PEACE Pack's theoretical foundation is systems theory drawing on the ideas of 'first order' change emphasising the importance of acquiring new skills and understanding to address bullying and well-being and 'second-order' change emphasising that long-lasting change requires a shift in attitudes, perceptions and beliefs. The importance of social and emotional learning (SEL) is a key element integrated with the program.
Teachers, students, principals, parents and school administrators from day-care centres, kindergartens and primary and secondary schools have all contributed to the development of the P.E.A.C.E pack. Particularly valuable contributions to the package were made by the representatives of various secondary and primary schools who met in focus groups over the course of two years to develop, implement and evaluate intervention programs for reducing school bullying. Ongoing research in schools and organisations has contributed significantly to the fourth edition.
The program has been extensively evaluated.
