Aims & approach

The Resilience Project School Wellbeing Program is designed to be a long-term and sustainable approach to wellbeing for the school community. The program model ensures students embed the practice of the key program principles (Gratitude, Empathy/Kindness, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy) in weekly classroom lessons, including a range of progressive lessons (from kindergarten to Year 12) that align with national and state curriculum.

Students develop their social and emotional skills and protective factors, ultimately building resilience and optimism, which research shows significantly impacts academic outcomes and reduces the occurrence of anxiety and depression.

The program is delivered by school classroom educators and proactively supported by TRP through:

  • Dedicated Schools Partnership Manager
  • Ongoing staff professional development
  • Student and Parent/Carer Digital Presentations
  • Weekly Teacher lesson plans
  • Student Journals
  • Resource Hub for educators
  • Resilient Youth survey

Implementation support

  • Access to professional facilitator, instructor or mentor
  • Implementation training webinars or modules
  • Ongoing helpdesk, email or phone support
  • Regular webinars or access to community of professional practice
