Thrive Kingdom Wellbeing for Kids is a wellbeing program for Prep to Grade 6 students. It aims to equip students with a number of practices to support their wellbeing plus specific tools to help them navigate challenging situations. The program also focuses heavily on social skills and equipping parents with information and tools to support their child’s wellbeing. Topics include: Identity in God, Sailing the seas of friendship, Feelings and thoughts, Growth mindset, Problem solving, Digging for gold (thankfulness), Keeping problems in perspective, Getting active, Risk taking, Filling your happy tank, Exploring your personal strengths, Dreaming big, Perseverance and Navigating tough times. All topics are explored from a centre point of faith with biblical grounding.
The program includes 16 lesson plans for Prep and 20 for Grades 1-6. This equates to a roughly a lesson per fortnight. These lessons are delivered by the classroom teacher. Lessons involve videos, interactive games/activities and worksheets. Lessons are accessed via an online portal. Participating schools pay a yearly subscription fee for access to the portal.
2026 is the first school year the program. We will be evaluating its effectiveness with the participating schools.
