Aims & approach

The Tribe, Grit and FEARlings Student Workshops are designed to build a shared language and understanding for students and teachers with strategies to create ongoing change in key wellbeing areas.

The program provides practical wellbeing workshops for students, educators and parents to build a shared language, understanding and approach toward empowering children to be problem solvers, autonomous and resilient.

The three Student Workshops are activity based (1.25 hours each) for students in Years 3-6, delivered in their school setting:

  • Tribe: Focuses on belonging, friendships, assertiveness, empathy, and handling mean behaviour.
  • Grit: Builds resilience, mental flexibility, self-control, growth mindset, gratitude, and compassion.
  • FEARlings: Helps manage worry and anxiety through cognitive strategies, emotional understanding, mindfulness, and self-talk.

Parent evening seminars: for parents of all primary aged students (1.5 hours) ensure parents have a shared understanding and can support their children effectively at home.

Staff professional learning: seminars ensure all teachers are equipped to support students as issues arise at school.

Workshops are delivered in-person in schools by skilled and qualified presenters. Varied Travel costs apply to rural and remote areas and Mainland states (Program Based in Tasmania).
