Delivered through five engaging and impactful online lessons, the Violence Prevention eLearning Program supports schools in embedding key wellbeing and personal development outcomes into their curriculum.
The program is designed for secondary school students (Years 7-12). Content is curriculum aligned, flexible and appropriate for a broad range of student levels, allowing schools to integrate it into their wellbeing or personal development curriculum.
The fully online program consists of five self-paced lessons, each featuring a powerful blend of storytelling, video content, interactive activities, and personal reflection tasks. Lessons explore key themes such as Pat Cronin's story, consequences of violence, emotional regulation, risk awareness and avoidance and responding to social violence. Each lesson takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
The program can be delivered across a school term, as a focused wellbeing unit, or over multiple sessions. The medium of delivery is also flexible, with options for teacher-led delivery in a classroom setting as part of the health or wellbeing curriculum, or student-led delivery for independent learning at school or home. Intervention can also be targeted for individual students or small groups, or used as a restorative tool to support behavioural change following incidents of aggression or suspension.
Implementation of the program requires access to a laptop/tablet and the internet. Teachers will receive a login to track progress and integrate learning into broader curriculum plans.
The Pat Cronin Foundation eLearning Program is designed to link to the respectful relationships curriculum and integrate into the capabilities curriculum. The program also connects with the positive behaviour support framework and is supported by positive testimonials.
